Personal blogging
My wife and I are having this discussion about people putting personal information in blogs. I contend that most blogs are being written by people who want to be transparent, who want to publish and want other people to know they are doing it. She contends that because most of the blogs I read are technical blogs I don't have a true view of the real world.
I've been gently pushing her to start blogging. She is a very bright, creative person who needs an outlet. I, of course, would love to read hers. She says that she would not want to talk publicly about the things going on in her life because some of the things might be hurtful to people she cares about. Her idea is to have an anonymous blog where she can rant about things without the fear of upsetting anyone, including me. She contends that most people doing blogs are doing just that. While I agree it would be a great creative outlet, I think it would be different from a personal blog. There is certainly room for both types.
It would be nice to know how many blogs are 'fiction' and how many are 'non-fiction'.
